I am from tegucigalpa honduras, I am a member of church of Christ here, i have a question for you, can we use claps in the songs of the worship?

It is important to keep in mind that there is only two kinds of music: vocal and non-vocal music.  As one can see from the passages below, the kind of music that God wants today in worship is vocal music.  So the question that needs to be asked, is "claps" vocal music or non-vocal?  Since "claps" is not vocal music, then we should not used it in the songs of the worship.

Acts 16:25 - But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. NKJV

Romans 15:9 - and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, And sing to Your name." NKJV

1 Corinthians 14:15 - What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. NKJV

Ephesians 5:19 - speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, NKJV

Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. NKJV

Hebrews 2:12 - saying: "I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You."  NKJV

James 5:13 - Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. NKJV

Revelation 15:3 - They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty!  Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints! NKJV
